Question >.<

I've got a rather silly question to ask but its been bugging me and I can't get it out of my mind...here it goes..

I have a 65 year old female patient who wanted to get a set of dentures done. I have processed the dentures (RPD) and the patient has not come back to take the dentures as she is away for a holiday and will be away for almost two and a half months. What bugs me now is whether the dentures will still fit her 3 months when she comes back to try them on. She does not have any medical complications and has been edentulous for quite some time already. She has missing posterior teeth on both her maxillary and mandibular arches.

thanks so much.

I would expect that they would fit, however, there is the possibility that they may require some small adjustment. Nothing that the acrylic bur couldn't fix!

Is your worry that the ridges will resorb enough in those 3 months that those dentures don't fit her anymore

store those processed dentures without getting warped....ur pt's alveolar ridges would nt change much in a 3month.
