G'day
Hi, I am new here and just wanted to say hi.
I work for an IT company supplying dentists with the latest equipment to connect all their intraoral, opg, X-ray and practice management software.
I guess while im here i'll ask a question, recent studies released by the american dental association claims too much fluoride is bad for us and they are lowering the content in water etc all over the USA. I'm curious every dentist i speak to in australia tells me fluoride is not harmful at all contrary to the recent studies released. I proceed to ask them why and i get the usual it strengthens and protects teeth and enamel etc. So why are they now saying too much leads to destruction of your teeth and why does this not seem to be fully acknowledged or expressed to patients in australia? Ive even been told the recent studies are a "myth". I don't wish to ruffle any feathers im just curious as to why we jump on the back of america in most things but I cant seem to find anyone in australia(that i deal with face to face), that knows the truth about this or is willing to tell it to the public.
Anyway thats my curious question. Hi to all and i hope the dental industry is treating you all well
Cheers.
